Wordle

I have achieved the academic goals and the social goals that I have set out at the beginning of 6th grade. My academic goal was to achieve better grades in each subject. I have achieved some better grades for each subject but I am still trying to do better, especially in humanities. So far, I think that my grades are what I had expected and I am happy with my grades. My social goal was to make more new friends from different countries which I did. The first few friends I made were Asuka, Brandon, Roemer and Amin. When Ian came on his first day, I made friends with him and I was happy as I made a new friend again. As the day passed, I noticed that Ian was in five out of my eight classes which made me really amazed.

The skills that I have learnt was collaborating constructively. I learnt this skill by working in groups in various classes such as humanities, science, sometimes in math, spanish and sometimes in P.E. class. In humanities, we had to make the mobile with a partner about ancient Sumer. I also learnt thinking creatively in humanities, spanish, health and spanish. In humanities, we had to think creatively on how to create the mobile and how the mobile would look like. We also had to think creatively when we had create a song about one of the empires from Mesopotamia. And in health, we ha to think creatively on how to create a skit and things like that.

The skills that I want to learn are more about the history in humanities class, more songs to play and learning new notes in band, more danger about your body in health, learning more stuff about convection in science and learning more skills and ways to do math easier in math.

The goals that I wish to set for the next six more months of school are to raise my grade in each and every subject as know I understand what topics I am doing in middle school for each class. That was my academic goal. For my social goal, I would like to make more friends than I have now because having more friends won't make me feel lonely and it will make me fell good about this school. Having more friends is also good because in classes, your friends can help you whenever you are in need. This was my social goal.

Final thunder cave discussion

1) I liked the book thunder cave. I liked it because it is quite interesting and it shows that some people really care for elephants. Some parts of this book represents courage and the book is almost the same as Call it Courage. This book also tells us that once you are focusing on a mission, you should never give up and succeed in the mission you aimed to do.

2) My favourite part in the book is when Jacob, Supeet, Gilisho and Jacob's father chase after Donovan. I liked that part because it was interesting for me. That part shows that Jacob really wants to protect the elephants and not letting Donovan to get the ivory from the elephants. This part will also show that Donovan is a thief and he tricked Jacob and his father into getting the ivory. Everyone in my group agrees that when Jacob got to Kenya because in New York, there was not much action.

3) All of the members in my group agreed that the message of the story is that a family is important enought to rescue a life for it. We said this because Jacob wanted to see his father and not living with his cousins. And at the end of the story, they said that they wanted to rent a house near Taw because they want to keep their family relationship close. There could also be another message, kepping a close family relationship.

4) I liked the discussion because you get to know what your other members are thinking about the book. I think that I would improve the population of the people per group. But this would have a advantage and a disadvantage. The advantage is that if you have more people in tour group, you would get more ideas. The disadvantage is that if you have too many people, it will take longer and we might no be able to finish the discussion.

5) I would like to read the true confession of charlotte doyle or julie of the wolves. I would like to read the true confession of charlotte doyle because it sounds interesting and I think the introduction at the back was interesting. I would also like to read Julie of the wolves becuase I would really want to know how a girl would survive with a pack of wolves. And eventhough I didn't ask what the story was about in Julie of the wolves, I would still want to read it because I think it's interesting.

Reflection 3

On this reflection, which was the thrid one, was a good one, but I still think that we can do better in the final discussion next week. The questions in this discussion had more things to talk about and there were quite a few answers for the questions. I really hope that we can do better next week as it is going to be our final discussion.

Reflection 2

On the second discussion, I think that we did much more better than the first discussion we made, and this time, we all had some good things to talk about duirng the discussion. Like the vocabulary and the questions. I think that we did quite a good job this time.

Thunder Cave Reflection

After the discussion with my thunder cave group, I now understand that when you discuss with your group, you get more ideas on what you wrote. And each group member will have a different idea on thinking what is the most important part in the book. And when you ask the discussion questions, your group members will have different answers that make sense.

Courage

I still remember the last time I rode a roller coaster tha was high. Last time, I didn't dare to ride those roller coasters. But now, I have grew older and I have overcome my fear from young. Now I realised that when I get older, I get braver and braver. When I was young, I was just like Mafatu, the boy who was afraid. But now, I dare to go on the high roller coasters or water rides.

River, streams, jungles.....

Out of all of the five types of the social scientists, I would like to become a geographer. I think becoming a geographer could be fun because I get to explore all the rivers, streams, jungles and many more around the world. And it also gives me the opportunity to understand the whole geographical aspect of the world better. This includes vegetation, land/sea formation and very importantly, environmental issues and climate changes which in the
