1) I liked the book thunder cave. I liked it because it is quite interesting and it shows that some people really care for elephants. Some parts of this book represents courage and the book is almost the same as Call it Courage. This book also tells us that once you are focusing on a mission, you should never give up and succeed in the mission you aimed to do.
2) My favourite part in the book is when Jacob, Supeet, Gilisho and Jacob's father chase after Donovan. I liked that part because it was interesting for me. That part shows that Jacob really wants to protect the elephants and not letting Donovan to get the ivory from the elephants. This part will also show that Donovan is a thief and he tricked Jacob and his father into getting the ivory. Everyone in my group agrees that when Jacob got to Kenya because in New York, there was not much action.
3) All of the members in my group agreed that the message of the story is that a family is important enought to rescue a life for it. We said this because Jacob wanted to see his father and not living with his cousins. And at the end of the story, they said that they wanted to rent a house near Taw because they want to keep their family relationship close. There could also be another message, kepping a close family relationship.
4) I liked the discussion because you get to know what your other members are thinking about the book. I think that I would improve the population of the people per group. But this would have a advantage and a disadvantage. The advantage is that if you have more people in tour group, you would get more ideas. The disadvantage is that if you have too many people, it will take longer and we might no be able to finish the discussion.
5) I would like to read the true confession of charlotte doyle or julie of the wolves. I would like to read the true confession of charlotte doyle because it sounds interesting and I think the introduction at the back was interesting. I would also like to read Julie of the wolves becuase I would really want to know how a girl would survive with a pack of wolves. And eventhough I didn't ask what the story was about in Julie of the wolves, I would still want to read it because I think it's interesting.
