Fatmire Feka suffered a war during her time in Kosovo when she was just 11 years old. She could leave, but had to pay a price and so they did. On then bus out, she saw many dead bodies which was terrifying for a 11 year old girl. Their bus was caught and got sent back to the dumpster, where they were previously living after they left their village. The noticed that everything had been stolen and they were forced to get resources from the village. Her uncle then came back shot and didn't remember what had happened to her siblings. In 2002, Fatmire Feka made the Kids for Peace program as she didn't want other children to suffer the same way she suffered. Till now, she still doesn't know where her siblings are and who took them. This relates to family being something worth fighting for as she lost her family when she was so young. Losing your family during such a young age is terrible.
During the Holocaust, the Jews were tortured by Hitler and the Nazis as Hitler found hatred towards the Jews. Children were brainwashed, Germans fell under Hitler's control through the use of propaganda. Concentration camps were created, mass murder of Jews started showing an example of genocide, scapegoating and more. About 6 million people were killed and 1.5 million were children. Parents of jewish children were sent to concentration camps and children were sent to concentration camps, leaving their parents. At the concentration camps, they would stay there and then sent to a gas chamber and they got killed. Upstanders against Hitler's decisions were also sent to concentration camp and separated from their families. Kristallnacht was also another example of Hitler's jewish attack and many families were separated and children were left alone, soon then sent to concentration camp. It wasn't just the Jewish children that got separated. Hitler knew he needed control over German children at a young age and he brainwashed them into thinking Jews are bad and that separated the children from their families.
This is a tragedy and should never happen again. Being separated from your family due to something racial shouldn't happen again. During these 2 incidents, many families were taken away, especially during the Holocaust. The picture I chose is a necklace. This picture represents how a family is always stuck together, you shouldn't be separated. "I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich." ~Dan Wilcox and Thad Mumford, "Identity Crisis," M*A*S*H. This quote tells us how important having a family is, without family, you start living a totally different life.
Your blog was really touching. I also wrote about family, because it means so much to me. You had a good use of hyperlinks and your post was easy to understand. It flowed nicely and was well organized. you had a lot of information and facts.Your title is also attention grabbing. The only thing i think you could improve on is your word choice, the month's six trait focus. Other then that great job!
